Well this season just got REAL interesting...

Feline Luxating Patella

After hours of worrying and jumping to the worst case scenario, my Kitty is okay!

The Vet just called me and told me she has a luxating patella, which causes pain the knee joint, which pops out of place. In Penny's case it is genetic, and before we jump into surgery the Doc says we should have her lose some weight and it may help! If we do need surgery eventually, she told me that cats do very well! So I feel SO much better that this is something fixable and not fatal!

Can't wait to pick her up in a few hours!

Nail Envy

While goofing around on my latest addiction, Pinterest, I saw a picture of these BAD ASS nails (the black ones with the studs)! So I went on to find the blog they came from and it's even more amazing then I imagined. Her name is Sammy and her blog is called The Nailasaurus. She is doing this thing called the 31 Day Challenge, where she does a different nail design for 30 days (on the 31st day she repeats her favorite), and each day has a specific criteria.

Penny Angel

Something is wrong with my little baby. :(

The other morning she jumped onto my bed to wake me up and started crying and sweating from her paws. Immediately I took her to the Kitty ER to have her checked out. There they checked her vitals and she was fine, so I took her to the Vet when they opened. We had blood tests done along with a bunch of other tests, and they all came back normal. She is typically an anxious cat, so our conclusion was that she must have been scared or anxious about something (she did have some fun surprises stuck to her bottom so we figured it could have been that).

However the past couple of days she has been limping on either foot and it's getting worse. She can't seem to stand up very easily, and this is just within the past two hours. Tomorrow morning I have an appointment to get X-rays on her lower spine and legs.

Please pray for Penny.

Loves & DisLoves of the Week

LOVES:

• Fall Cleaning - My apartment had been taken over by laundry that desperately needed to be washed (um gross I know). Actually if you asked any of my friends they would assure you that this is the norm. But ANYWAYS I finally got around to it all... even the dreaded hand washing (lets not get crazy... I ended up throwing it in the washer on the delicate setting). And I feel SO MUCH BETTER. Must remember this next time I put it off for so long...
• Candles - Everyone and their mother has reviewed "Leaves" from Slatkin & Co (at Bath and Body Works). So I'll just leave it at I love it and it makes my place smell yummy.
• Balling it up in my classes - I'm on the journey to Straight A's people... okay maybe one B but whatever! And it feels so good!
• Tights - Weather is getting cooler (and by cooler I mean 70 degrees in FL) and I can finally wear these puppies. I don't know about you, but I am 5'1 and I don't think anything is cuter for shorties like me, than a pair of opaque tights with a mini skirt, leather jacket and a scarf (see Miroslava Duma for inspiration).
• Making up my own words -  Yes I created (to my knowledge) the word DisLove... and I dont DisLove it!

DISLOVES: 

• Ummmm....welll.... okay I can't think of anything right now. And I'm gonna go with that's not a bad thing!
